Capital Group Summer Fun Party

Client

Capital Group is a global investment management company with a sizable office in Hong Kong.

Background

The staff recreation club of Capital Group was looking for summer fun ideas for around 100 participants to engage all the employees and their families for a fun company event. They had done a one-day theme park trip in the past, but this year, they wanted to do something out of the ordinary. Spoilt was asked to plan an interactive event that could gather the staff to mingle.

Solution

Knowing that Capital Group wanted a fun and energetic family day for their employees, Spoilt proposed several indoor and outdoor party solutions and offered overall event management services.

From a variety of suggestions, the tribal dinner party was chosen for their summer event of the year. We sourced venues that suited the private event and finally decided on a venue with extensive indoor and outdoor space.

On the event day, our guests stepped into the event venue which we transformed into a tribal village. We prepared a range of tribal costumes, accessories and props for the guests and decorated the venue in tiki style complete with a mini teepee for the kids. A stand-up buffet menu was tailor-made for this event, allowing everybody to move around and mingle. We also arranged a series of family-friendly experiential activities, including a dream catcher workshop, a Polaroid photo booth corner, tribal Olympic games, a tattoo station, and a tiki cocktail making corner for the adults. It was a fun way to engage all the guests allowing employees to get to know each other and their families.

All in all, thank you for helping us organize this! I was happy that you took a proactive role in planning the event, because we were quite busy with our own work. I felt that I could trust that you were on top of things. I liked the decoration of the venue interior the most. When people entered, the venue looked cosy and fun and the tribal theme was highlighted.
